The Calm Before the Storm.
After months of planning and production, printing and perfecting, Our Everyday Lives Include Coffee is reaching its public debut. If you don't already know, the series will be kicking off shortly with the release of an 8-page series preview entitled The Wild Beasts of the Earth. As a small yet humble line of merchandise soon follows, culminating together with what I hope to be a very strong release. While only a preview I believe this glimpse into the world of Our Everyday Lives Include Coffee will become the bold beginnings of an intrepid new series. So I urge everyone to stick around just a little while longer, because as with any storm, you won't know it's raining until it pours.

New Cover: The Wild Beasts of the Earth!
I'd now like to draw your attention to what I like to call the OELIC 'Ultimate Edition.' I digress.
Only a few short weeks ago, the creative flame that had been proudly burning for Our Everyday Lives Include Coffee was re lit. In this time of creative reinvigoration, I immediately started taking a fine toothed comb to the series. Smoothing out the rough patches, and continuing my efforts to create the best possible work that I can produce! In doing so, not only did I inject some colour into the series, but I came to an impasse. Before me were two editions of the series preview. Both the standard and deluxe editions were staring back at me from my desk, with contention. Taking what was once a comb and turning it into a bomb, I fused the two editions into what has now become the Our Everyday Lives Include Coffee: Ultimate Edition.
Although it won't be officially titled as such, I still wanted to create a new look for the newly polished series preview 'The Wild Beasts of the Earth.'
Above, you'll find the brand new cover! This will be the only edition available when Our Everyday Lives Include Coffee is officially released, as this allows me to focus on the logistics of the series. But I think you'll agree, the new cover art really is a head turner!
More information about this new standardized edition will become available shortly, so please stay tuned for a new release date and availability! Thanks again for your support!
As Always, Tyler Hojberg.

The Cover: The Wild Beasts of the Earth. (Updated)
Let's kick things off with a little back story behind the cover, shall we? When I began my creative quest for inspiration in designing and creating the cover, I started with the one place I never originally thought to look. That, was with my past drawings, my past ideas with pre-engraved inspirations. Upon delving into this massive stock of untapped ideas I came across 'the moderator.' A small, little sketch at the time featuring a man in a suit, with a coffee stain for a head. Just like that, the creative match in my mind sparked uncontrollably.
I was in search for a prelude to the image I had in mind for the cover of Cup 1:A Devil in the Boardroom/An Angel in the Coffee Shop. And although everything will make complete sense when you see the Cup 1 cover, let's for a moment take a snapshot into the innocence of this introductory endeavour.
Working with that creative fire and my favourite stock of sketching pencils, particularly some from the lovely folks at Derwent, Staedtler, and Black Wing, I created this piece over the course of three very long 12 hour days. Done in my favourite medium, illustrative hyper-realism.
The coffee coloured inversion that lands its style to the final image was preconceived to be the complete opposite of the cover it's preluding. And the repeated coffee stain heads were proudly done, with actual coffee mugs and cold black coffee.
I hope you enjoy the cover, as much as I enjoyed creating it! And I look forward to finally getting this series into the hands of thousands, and maybe millions!
As Always, Tyler Hojberg.

HELLO, AND WELCOME.
Our Everyday Lives Include Coffee is an exploration into the concept that life can be but a cup of coffee in its self. It's just as much about the bitter, as it is the sweet.
Welcome everyone, and thank you for stopping by! I'd like to kick things off with a quick introduction not only to myself, but to the graphic novel series that has become the product of so many countless cups of coffee. So, who am I? Well, these days I've found myself branching out under many different amateur titles. Illustrator, conceptual artist, writer, painter, and all-around art nerd seem to fit the description.
Although I have not had the luxury of attending an art school, I have been steadily perfecting my craft through the only means I know how, and that is too create. I believe a teacher can only stand guard to guide your hand in the creation of art, but it's the job of the student whether officially titled as such or not to connect with their work. To connect the dots and mould experiences, to create; art. Which brings me to why I've brought you here today. To officially announce, possibly the biggest undertaking in my professional career as an artist. I'd like to introduce the much anticipated amateur graphic novel series: Our Everyday Lives Include Coffee.
Our Everyday Lives Include Coffee is an exploration into the concept that life can be but a cup of coffee in its self. It's just as much about the bitter as it is the sweet. Although I share no connection with the characters you will see, throughout the pages and in the panels, I share a heart with them. I share a shimmer of hope, and of faith in a brighter tomorrow. Relevant so, in a world like today, that has been over priced, and under sold, and cheaply watered down like a crappy cup of coffee.
So I ask you, as an artist, but as just another average Joe, to join me on this journey. Not only into this universe, but into these concepts, these connections, these exasperation's and their exhaust. I ask of you to share your highs, your lows, and most importantly, your coffee. Thank you, and welcome.
As Always, Tyler Hojberg.
